The only “survivor” from the Concrete Events postcards I published in 1990, and which are in many collections, including the British Library and the Victoria and Albert Museum. The original was a typewriter poem (with letters progressively scribbled out). This later version was realised using the computer. The letters are never quite obliterated, which is deliberate: a statement that even with the best of intentions, the ego may still slightly persist.
